Sunday Gathering 10:30 AM
270 Queensway Ave., Espanola, ON P5E 1H8
Have you ever wondered what, why and how about the Queensway Pentecostal Church? There's no better way to find out the what, why and how than to experience us first hand. Like everything we do, everyone's welcome. Maybe you've attended one of our events or are new to Espanola and the area and are curious about how we do church. I know that can be intimidating so I thought I'd give you a virtual preview of what to expect.
On any given Sunday you can expect to be greeted in the pentecostal church parking lot by our parking ministry team.
As you approach the main entrance you'll be welcomed by our greeters and you'll get directions to the foyer where our usher team will give you a program and free gift if you're a first time visitor.
Our usher's will help you find a seat in our state of the art auditorium and answer any questions you have about our children's ministry.
Our pentecostal service is pretty simple we begin by welcoming everyone and open our service in prayer. We have congregational singing backed by a full band (drums, accustic & electric guitar, bass, keyboard, congas, backup vocals). We project the lyrics to the songs onto the wall at the front of the sanctuary so it's easy to follow along. We generally have a short video, announcements, dismiss kids to children's church, a couple more songs and a sermon.
That about does it. You can even linger in our foyer after it's all done and have a cup of coffee at our coffee bar. Please come and introduce yourself to us. Lisa and I would love to meet you. Before you know it you're on your way out the door in about an hour and a half.
Consider joining us this Sunday at 10:30 AM. We'd love to have you.
Pastor Dave Long
Reality TV regularly inundates us with people who tell lies so that they can remain on the series and win huge sums of money. It seems that a large segment of society condones lying and actually supports the concept of a “good liar.” To prove the point, just consider how often you have opportunity to do business “under the table”. No wonder it has become increasingly difficult to confront dishonesty and to do it from a Biblical perspective. The truth, at least from my perspective, is that few people – Christians included – know how to speak the truth to people in love.
The last few weeks, we have been considering virtue and vice in terms of 2 Pet. 1:3-8. Our faith is a gift from God, but we don’t just stop there. We are called to develop goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love for the rest of our life in order to be effective and productive followers of Jesus Christ.
